Mantovan Mostarda
Mantovan mostarda is made with thinly sliced fruit
and vegetables, which are left to marinate for several days in a sugar
and water syrup after which they are seasoned with mustard essence.
This product has always been used as one of the basic ingredients
of pumpkin tortellini di zucca (a typical Mantovan specialty) or as
an accompaniment to roasts or aged cheeses |
